Sticks and Stones

Sticks and Stones ran from October 2023 through November 2023 at The Wine Smith Gallery in Placerville, California. Inspired by the blackmarket roentgenizdat of Soviet Russia, the fifteen enigmata comprising this installation were produced using X-Rays of traumatic bone injuries adhered to 6mm transparent acrylic and subsequently partitioned using one of several enigma styles. Three custom multi-color light boxes were designed and produced to provide back illumination to a selection of enigmata which rotated over the course of the installation.
